A little about me...

It was June 2015. I had just stepped into my new home — a brightly lit, cozy space overlooking a shimmering lake dotted by palm trees. By every external measure, I should have been excited and happy.

But inside, I was quietly falling apart.

The life I was standing in looked nothing like the one I had imagined for myself. I was in the middle of a divorce, and I felt trapped in a career that I was grateful for but knew was never my calling. I had followed the script and thought I had done everything right. In high school, I graduated class Valedictorian and voted Most Likely to Succeed. In college, I was awarded Junior Woman of the Year, inducted into an invitation-only leadership fraternity and the university's prestigious Student Foundation, received the President's Award, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. After college, I landed a highly prestigious and coveted paid internship at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. 

By every measure, I was on my way to success. But then Life happened. It got messy. And many of the things I had worked hard for slowly unraveled.

As I stood in my new beautiful home, one question echoed off every wall:

How did I end up here?

The truth was that I had spent years achieving the things in life I thought I was supposed to want — the accolades, the career, the checkboxes — believing all those things would equal a perfect, happy, fulfilled life. 

That lake-view moment became my kairos moment — my God-appointed turning point.

Fast forward to today — the corporate shackles are gone, and I am free! Free to pursue my God-given calling. I am no longer just surviving. I am thriving, living each day with joy, purpose, and the freedom that only comes from walking in alignment with whom God has created me to be. 

And those wrong turns and lost years? They weren't wasted at all. They were my preparation. As God promised in the Bible, all things work together for good... for those who are called according to His purpose.
