Poppy the Star:
A Star Is Born

For we are all stars, each destined to shine in our own time...
— From Poppy the Star: A Star Is Born

Faith. Love. Hope.

From a memoir to a novel to a children’s book—each of my books may be from a different genre, but there are common themes that I have in all of writings: faith, love, and hope. Regardless of the story, the message remains the same. Never stop believing, never stop loving, and never, ever stop hoping.

A Star Is Born is the story of Poppy, a star who is born without any light. Poppy has big dreams, but without any starlight, her dreams seem impossible. But when she learns to shine with her inner light by spreading love and kindness, she discovers her true destiny is far greater than she or anyone else could have ever imagined.

As a writer…

Like all writers, I have a tale to weave and a lesson to impart—one that will hopefully not only inspire my readers but help them navigate the mountain peaks and valleys of their own lives. Whether it’s a realistically good-hearted but flawed in her thinking character like Sarai Mathai from “The Chrysalis” or a pure-hearted soul like Poppy the Star from “A Star Is Born,” each character brings in her own perspective as well as her own individual lessons learned in patience, endurance, and perseverance— the very qualities that will often not only move you past the disappointments of life but also take you into the “harvest” season of your life where those dreams come into fruition.
